POP38 – The Bee’s Knees
The scene in Norway is totally nuts, it must seem like I am in love with all things Norway lately, but the amount of great pop coming from there is unbelievable. Ethnobabes come from a more European school of pop giving us some nice gazey guitars and sweet lush-esque vocals. This sweet 10″ is perfect giving just 6 tracks, I think it’s just the right amount. The vinyl comes in red/green/black as well. If you like the UK scene cirka 90-91 and warm female vocals with just a pinch of a west coast pop appeal then you might dig this record.
